Every season has its own charms, colors and vibes...
• On spring , from April, nature lovers can enjoy breathtaking landscapes, seaside trails bordered by flowering Corsican scrub. This period of pleasant weather is pretty quiet, less crowded — it offers a soothing, relaxing environment.
• On summer , you can particularly enjoy the seaside, the beach and nautical activities. The summertime is also appreciated for its numerous cultural events. Algajola is known for its magnificent sunsets, barefoot on the sand. After dusk, you may enjoy meals and drink from numerous bars and restaurants.
• When autumn arrives, sunbathing lovers can still enjoy the sea, relaxing at the beach that is slowly emptying. It is a great time to visit other areas of Balagne such as Giussani, less than one hour drive from Algajola — countryside villages, chestnut and Laricci forests.
• On winter , the island is cooler, quieter and rougher. But this atmosphere also promises very nice surprises for photographers: sunny days, contrasting colors composed of snow-capped mountains and dazzling shores. The weekends are usually punctuated by convivial evening gatherings organized by a few Corsican bars and restaurants opened all year round; they propose to their guests products and specialties such as Pulenta (chestnut flour dough) and Figatellu (pork sausage) — Corsican hospitality at its finest, an authentic local experience !
